Contemporary Colorado Springs
This light and contemporary interior was designed for a widow downsizing into a new-build. We handled the selection of all finishes, from cabinetry and tile to millwork and plumbing fixtures, adding custom built-ins and millwork details throughout. Wall coverings were chosen to infuse pattern and personality into the space.
In the guest room we were able to incorporate art from her many trips to Asia while infusing the space with a sense of serendipity via the Schumacher A-Twitter wall covering.
In the primary bedroom, we maximized the stunning mountain view by specifying one large window instead of two small ones and designing a custom dresser with a hidden TV lift to accommodate her 48” screen.
We created the glamorous powder bath she requested by layering in sparkly lighting, an airy silver wall paper along with a marble mosaic backsplash and a jeweled drain cover.
Pops of color in art, textiles, and wall coverings throughout her home add contrast and energy, while the airy atmosphere is grounded by the ebonized oak floors—one of her must-haves.
